HWH Mechanical Cow — iOS application

The short version: This app does not collect, store, or transmit any personal information about you. There are no accounts, no analytics, no advertising, and no servers. The app works entirely offline and sends nothing to us or to anyone else. Everything it saves stays on your own device.

Who we are

The HWH Mechanical Cow app is published by Horses With Holly ("we", "us"). The app is a controller for the HWH Mechanical Cow, a physical horse-training lure device. This policy explains how the app handles information.

Information we collect

We do not collect any personal information. We do not ask for your name, email address, location, contacts, photos, or any other personal data. We do not create user accounts. We do not operate servers that receive data from the app.

Information stored on your device

The app saves the following locally on your iPhone so it can work between sessions. This information never leaves your device and is not visible to us:

Training sequences you create or record
App preferences such as speed settings, soft start/stop toggles, countdown length, and sound preferences
Calibration values for your device
The name and identifier of the last Mechanical Cow you connected to, so the app can reconnect automatically

All of this is removed if you delete the app.

Bluetooth

The app uses Bluetooth for one purpose only: to connect to your HWH Mechanical Cow hardware and send it control commands (such as direction, speed, and stop). The app does not scan for, catalogue, or record any other Bluetooth devices around you, and it does not use Bluetooth to determine your location or for any tracking purpose.

Internet access

The app does not require an internet connection and does not send any information over the internet. All fonts, sounds, and other resources are included in the app itself. The only wireless communication the app performs is a direct Bluetooth connection to your own Mechanical Cow hardware.

Analytics, advertising and tracking

The app contains no analytics, no advertising, no third-party trackers, and no software development kits that collect usage data. We do not track you across apps or websites.

Children's privacy

The app is not directed at children and does not knowingly collect information from anyone. As no personal information is collected at all, no information about children is collected.

Data sharing

Because we do not collect any information, we have nothing to sell, share, or disclose to third parties.

Your rights

Since no personal data is collected or held by us, there is no personal data for us to access, correct, export, or delete. Any information stored locally by the app can be removed at any time by deleting the app from your device.

Safety notice

This app controls a motorised device used around horses. It is your responsibility to operate the equipment safely, to supervise its use, and to follow all instructions provided with the hardware. The app is provided as a control tool and is not a substitute for careful, competent handling of animals and machinery.

Changes to this policy

If this policy changes, the updated version will be posted at this address with a revised "last updated" date.
